Alan Wright
Special Counsel and Accredited Mediator
Alan has worked as a lawyer in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie for over 30 years. While most of his clients live in Newcastle or Lake Macquarie, he regularly represents clients coming from the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Mid-North Coast and Sydney.
For almost all of those 30 years, Alan has worked exclusively in family law. He has been a NSW Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law since 1997. Over that time, Alan has handled many hundreds of property and parenting disputes.
Alan knows that separation is a stressful time. Whether it is property case and/or a parenting case, Alan will give you clear advice about the likely outcome, and how to get there as quickly as possible with as little stress and cost as is possible. He recognises that it is important to reach a sensible resolution as soon as possible so that you can move on with your life.
Alan is a strong believer in mediation. He has represented many clients in mediations in both parenting and property matters. Alan is an accredited mediator under the National Mediation Accreditation System and is regularly engaged by other law firms to conduct mediations. He understands mediations inside out.
But some cases can’t be resolved. Arbitration (in property matters) or Court proceedings are necessary. In those cases, Alan will provide strong representation so that you achieve the best possible result.
